1. Tell us about your role at Instructure?
I am responsible for the People and Places function and focused on ensuring we provide an engaging and meaningful employee experience.

2. Can you tell us about your journey into this market?
Throughout my career, I’ve always focused on how to best utilize and grow talent and capabilities within leaders and individuals. Helping build software tools that facilitates more efficient and productive learning as well as helping people leverage career growth and development has been impactful as well.

3. How do you think technology is changing the HR Sector?

Technology is the catalyst to solving some of the biggest issues facing our workforce today.

It can improve efficiency, enable connection and provide employees with the digital solutions they want to develop their careers. Companies and employees need to evolve and update skills to match this advance. With the right preparation for this challenge, we can not only avoid much of the disruption, but actually use technology to get back to building relationships and strengthening the human connection that’s so important in positive workplace environments.

4. How do you think the use of employee development platforms has contributed to efficient employee management?
A fully integrated employee development platform gives actionable insights to HR and empowers employees to manage their careers in a way that is meaningful for them. Our team can monitor culture, learning and growth conversations and support development initiatives while also giving our people the tools they need to create their own career paths and modify them throughout their journey.

5. What are the major employee issues that your offerings help in solving?
We conducted a survey that showed a significant disconnect between how companies think they’re doing when it comes to developing their workforce and the reality of employee needs. It became clear there is a need for more effective employee development in workplaces across all industries as employers struggle to retain top talent and unlock the potential of each employee. So Instructure developed a product that gives companies a true strategic solution to increase employee growth, engagement and performance.

Building inspiring and engaging tools that facilitate lifelong learning

7. Can you tell us about your team and how it supports you?
I have been fortunate to be surrounded by people who are committed to the same vision and have the expertise, mentality and experience to help us deliver exceptional employee experiences.
