Eudia Acquires Johnson Hana to Build First AI-Augmented Workforce
SHARE

Eudia, the leading Augmented Intelligence platform for Fortune 500 legal teams, today announced its acquisition of Johnson Hana, bringing 300+ elite legal professionals into the world’s first AI-augmented human workforce. The move creates an entirely new type of company—one that fuses human expertise and artificial intelligence to fundamentally reinvent how legal work is performed.

Beyond Software: AI as Partner, Not Tool

While many believe AI is simply software, Eudia has proven that AI’s true potential lies in human partnerships. Human + AI teams consistently outperform humans or AI working alone—a principle Eudia calls “Augmented Intelligence.”

“We’ve built the premier technology platform for agentic AI solutions, as evidenced by our rapidly growing Fortune 500 customer base,” said Omar Haroun, Co-founder and CEO of Eudia. “But we’ve learned that building truly transformative systems requires deep human expertise embedded within the technology itself.”

This acquisition brings to life a new type of workforce that accelerates outcomes and drives unprecedented business value across Eudia’s customer base.

A New Breed of Legal Services Partner

Johnson Hana represents a fundamental departure from traditional alternative legal service providers (ALSPs). Founded by Dan Fox, a former Barrister, the company has built a team of elite legal consultants who operate as true extensions of in-house legal teams, serving demanding clients including Citibank, Morgan Stanley, Stripe, Tesco, Airbnb, Coca-Cola, X, and TikTok.

“Johnson Hana sees the same fundamental problems we do with traditional legal service models,” said Haroun. “They’re mission-aligned with our vision to create something entirely different—not a better version of the status quo, but a new class of product that shatters in-house teams’ dependence on slow, expensive traditional firms.”

This acquisition enables Eudia to build the world’s first team of AI-augmented humans—legal professionals who accelerate both outcomes and transformations within their Fortune 500 clients.

A New Wave

Eudia is positioned as the first in a new breed of company that fundamentally reinvents how work is done in the age of AI. This trend is validated by several recent funding rounds of companies developing AI-powered solutions that replace traditional outsourced labor models.

“We’re excited to partner with Eudia as they imagine a new way to develop and deliver AI transformation using human services as the channel,” says Marc Bhargava, Managing Director at General Catalyst, who led Eudia’s recent $100M Series A. “We’ve funded several companies operating from the same thesis and are excited to see this next wave of innovation take hold. We are confident this can be the first of many such advances from the Eudia team.”

Growing Network of Augmented Professionals

The Johnson Hana acquisition accelerates Eudia’s vision of building a comprehensive network of augmented legal professionals. These experts bring deep industry knowledge that is directly embedded into Eudia’s AI systems, creating compounding intelligence that benefits all clients.

“We’ve always prioritized quality over headcount,” said Dan Fox, CEO of Johnson Hana. “This is a big leap forward. By fusing our elite talent base and managed services expertise with Eudia’s AI platform, we’re not just enhancing how work gets done — we’re redefining what’s possible. This is the right model, and the right time.”

These operators are trained in Eudia’s proprietary process of capturing institutional knowledge and context, enabling their clients to compound the effectiveness of AI for both internal and external teams.

Eudia to Reveal its Augmented Intelligence Platform in Exclusive September Event

The Johnson Hana acquisition, along with more exciting partnership announcements, will be featured at Eudia’s upcoming landmark Augmented Intelligence Summit, an exclusive gathering of Chief Legal Officers and top legal leaders from Fortune 500 companies. Executives will present their playbooks for driving AI transformation through augmented legal services and discuss the “next generation in-house department.” Learn more at: https://summit.eudia.com

Piper Sandler acted as Eudia’s financial adviser on the transaction.
