Encompass Health Corp. (NYSE: EHC) announces the planned retirement of Cheryl Levy, the Company’s chief human resources officer of 12 years, effective March 31, 2019.
Under her leadership, the Company launched many valuable employee resources and programs in the areas of leadership development, recruitment and retention, engagement, wellness, diversity, recognition and compliance. Most recently, she oversaw the employee-led development and unveiling of The Encompass Health Way, a set of Company values, which were created as part of Encompass Health’s rebranding initiative.
As chief human resources officer, Levy has managed multiple departments including organizational development, employee and labor relations, recruiting, compensation, benefits, marketing and communications, and creative services.

The Company is considering internal and external candidates as part of a national search for a new principal human resources officer. Levy will assist with the search and continue to serve as Chief Human Resources Officer until her effective retirement date.
