Gloat, the leading provider of Workforce Agility and pioneers of the AI-powered Talent Marketplace, today announced that Arianna Huffington has joined the company’s board of directors. Huffington brings decades of experience as a world-renowned entrepreneur, media mogul, and author. She currently serves as the CEO and founder of leading behavior change technology company, Thrive Global.

“As Gloat has partnered with Thrive over the past few months, it became clear how much Arianna believes in our mission and shares our passion for changing how the world works,” said Ben Reuveni, co-founder and CEO of Gloat. “Her fearless leadership and innovative thinking have inspired the growth of countless individuals and organizations. All the while, she cares deeply for people’s well-being and appreciates how it directly influences their performance. We’re thrilled to welcome her to our board and look forward to absorbing more of her invaluable wisdom.”

“I’m passionate about technology that helps people get the most out of their work and lives, and that helps businesses adapt to uncertainty,” said Huffington. “That’s what I love about Gloat, and Ben’s clear, precise vision about a future of work that gives employees unprecedented control over their careers and puts meaning at the center of work. Gloat understands that lifting people up is the best way to bridge business gaps and stay agile amid a rapidly changing market. I’m excited to work closely with the rest of the board as Gloat continues to forge a path for any company looking to revitalize their workforce.”

Huffington founded Thrive Global in 2016 with the mission of ending the stress and burnout epidemic. The company’s platform helps many of the world’s leading employers improve employee well-being, performance and mental resilience. Before founding Thrive, she founded The Huffington Post, which became the first internet-only publication to win a Pulitzer Prize.

Huffington is also the author of 15 books, including Thrive and The Sleep Revolution. She has been named to Time Magazine’s list of the world’s 100 most influential people and the Forbes Most Powerful Women list. Originally from Greece, she moved to England when she was 16 and graduated from Cambridge University with an M.A. in economics. At 21, she became president of the famed debating society, the Cambridge Union. She serves on numerous boards, including Onex and The B Team. Her last two books, Thrive: The Third Metric to Redefining Success and Creating a Life of Well-Being, Wisdom, and Wonder and The Sleep Revolution: Transforming Your Life, One Night At A Time, both became instant international bestsellers. Most recently, she wrote the foreword to Thrive’s first book, Your Time to Thrive: End Burnout, Increase Well-being, and Unlock Your Full Potential with the New Science of Microsteps.

Huffington recently spoke at Gloat Live 2022 at her session titled, “From surviving to thriving: Empowering our people and businesses to achieve their full potential.”
