1st SOS welcomes Jose Nido to its Executive Team

1st SOS Staffing Inc., a leading staffing and workforce solutions provider, announces the appointment of Jose Nido as the newest addition to its executive team. Nido is taking on the role of Executive Vice President, Strategic Development/Chief Diversity Officer. As a leader and legend in corporate supplier diversity, Nido brings with him unique expertise and commitment to help set the stage for win-win partnerships across the hospitality, food & beverage, airport, lite industrial, medical, construction, and education sectors, as well as corporate and municipal entities.

In this new position, Nido will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the strategic development initiatives of 1st SOS Staffing Inc. His responsibilities will include enhancing relationships with current clients, building and expanding new client partnerships, as well as maintaining a leadership role across local and national nonprofit organizations. “We are excited to welcome Jose to our team. Nido spent the last fifteen years at Travel + Leisure Co. as their Vice President, Global Supplier Diversity, where he drove many outstanding accomplishments in the supplier diversity and community engagement space. He is an award-winning executive with extensive experience in supplier diversity, strategic sourcing, minority business development, and nonprofit leadership. His prior experience also includes minority business relations program development/management at Walt Disney World Co. He also served for 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, in a variety of management assignments in the U.S. and overseas, prior to retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He holds a degree in business administration from the University of Puerto Rico, a Master of Science in logistics management from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Central Florida.
