UKG, a leading provider of HR, payroll, and workforce management solutions for all people, announced today that Pat Wadors will become Chief People Officer (CPO) of UKG on April 18, 2022. As CPO and a member of the UKG executive team, Wadors will lead the company’s world-class HR organization, guiding its people-related business strategy as UKG continues to grow its organization and award-winning culture.
As CPO, Wadors will be responsible for the global employee experience at UKG — including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee communications, workplace services, and HR business partners, consultants, and solutions.
“Having worked closely with UKG and admiring the remarkable workplace they’ve built, I know that the organization has an extraordinary focus on people, including my personal passions of employee engagement, belonging, and inclusion,” said Wadors. “To thrive, organizations must have a blend of people with differing backgrounds and ways of thinking, who also feel they belong as part of the team and its success. I am energized by the alignment of our vision and what we can accomplish with such a strong and award-winning cultural foundation in place.”
Wadors has extensive HR experience, most recently serving as CPO at Procore Technologies, leading the company through expansive growth. Prior to Procore, she served as Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) at ServiceNow, where she was responsible for overseeing global employee resources and talent, helping the company scale while building programs to support employees and their families. Wadors has also held multiple leadership roles in the technology industry, including at LinkedIn, Plantronics, Inc., and Yahoo!, and has served as a board member for several prominent technology companies, including UKG.
“UKG is a global powerhouse with 14,000 people who have proven a clear connection and dedication to how the employee experience drives the customer experience,” said Wadors. “I am excited to serve as CPO for a company that is a leader not just in culture, but also in the HR technology industry. For high-performing, healthy companies to scale in today’s global environment, we must rely on technology. To work for a company that believes in the power of culture and belonging while also being able to transform workplaces with technology is a job I can’t wait to begin.”
Wadors is a multiple recipient of the National Diversity Council’s Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Technology. She is known for her transformational and strategic HR leadership and is a frequent speaker on diversity and inclusion issues. She holds a B.S. in Business Management and Human Resource Management from Ramapo College of New Jersey.
“We couldn’t be more pleased to have Pat Wadors joining us as CPO, with her experience, reputation in the industry, and unique perspective that is so much in line with our values and priorities,” said Chris Todd, president at UKG. “We know the impact that good HR leadership can have on a business and are excited to work with Pat on taking UKG to new heights.”
Wadors replaces Dave Almeda, who is retiring after 12 years of leading the UKG HR operations and people strategy. He was instrumental in building the UKG culture, with an intentional focus on employee experience. Under Almeda’s leadership, UKG formed a solid foundation of trusting and valuing employees, which will continue to be built upon in years to come. Almeda will assist with the transition and remain with UKG through the end of 2022.
