Zellis named as a ‘Leader’ in NelsonHall Payroll NEAT Assessment 2024

Analyst recognition follows successful awards season in which Zellis has won ‘the payroll treble’

Zellis, the largest provider of payroll and HR software to the UK and Ireland, has been identified as a leader in Digital Payroll Capability and Extended Services Capability on the NelsonHall Payroll Services NEAT Assessment 2024.

NelsonHall is a leading global analyst firm that advises organisations in digital operations transformation. The company’s annual Vendor Evaluation and Assessment Tool (NEAT) for Payroll Services evaluates vendors on their ability to deliver immediate benefit and meet future customer requirements, and places them into one of four categories: Leaders, High Achievers, Innovators, and Major Players. Vendor scores are based on extensive market analysis and customer feedback.

Zellis was placed as a Leader in Digital Payroll Capability due to the immediate and longer term benefits it provides to its payroll services customers, with NelsonHall referencing the company’s specific capabilities in digitalising and transforming payroll operations. In the Extended Services Capability category, NelsonHall identified Zellis as a Leader for its ability to deliver a payroll service alongside supplementary HR services.

The research also highlighted several of Zellis’ wider payroll strengths, including its deep market expertise and managed service offering, which is described as highly resilient, scalable, and able to support complex customer needs. Zellis’ commitment to driving flexible payroll processes through innovation was also commended, with the NelsonHall team citing the company’s commitment to driving greater use of AI, including automated payroll anomaly management to support improved accuracy and efficiency.
