meQuilibrium Marks World Mental Health Day With Manager Training Tools
SHARE

In honor of World Mental Health Day, meQuilibrium (meQ), the global leader in proactive workforce mental health and performance solutions, introduces two new initiatives designed to address one of the most urgent challenges facing organizations today: equipping managers to support mental health on their teams.

As job stress, burnout, and uncertainty continue to rise, managers have become the first responders of employee well-being. However, most have received little to no training on how to recognize and respond to mental health challenges in the workplace. meQ’s new solutions, CARE for Your Team’s Mental Health and the Hit Reset Campaign, deliver practical, science-backed support that helps managers reduce stress and increase performance across their teams.

“Managers are the front lines of mental health in the workplace—but they are often unequipped, unsupported, and stretched thin,” said Dustin DiTomasso, Chief Design Officer, meQuilibrium. “Our new programs provide the tools and structure they need to build team resilience, reduce burnout, and foster psychologically safe workplaces.”

CARE for Your Team’s Mental Health

Managers and wellness champions play a critical role in shaping organizational culture and wellbeing, making the right support and skills essential. When managers reduce work stress, physical stress symptoms, burnout, and incivility on their teams, healthcare spending drops.meQ research shows that well-supported employees are 56% less likely to report high work stress, the risk of burnout drops by 58%, and physical stress symptoms decrease by 25%.

CARE for Your Team’s Mental Health, meQ’s new learning program, is designed for managers and wellness champions to help support mental health at work. This concrete, scalable solution addresses the problem organizations are always trying to solve: providing managers and wellness champions with the skill set to support peers without some of the challenges that come with traditional mental health programs. CARE’s format combines self-paced digital learning with live expert-led sessions, ensuring managers and wellness champions gain the practical tools to support themselves, their teams, and their organizations.

“Today’s managers are being asked to do more than ever—including recognizing and addressing mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, and burnout,” said Andrew Shatté, Chief Knowledge Officer, meQuilibrium. “With so much already on their plates, this responsibility can feel daunting; that’s why the training includes manager self-care—because sustainable support requires managers who aren’t depleted themselves.”

Hit Reset Campaign

meQ’s Hit Reset Campaign gives managers immediate, actionable tools for recognizing and responding to team stress. It’s designed for real workday moments—the team member who seems off in a meeting, the direct report whose performance is slipping, or the high performer who’s suddenly withdrawn.

Offering tips to spot when someone on a team is stressed or upset, the Hit Reset campaign offers ways to get them back on track. A five-step approach helps managers identify negative emotions such as anxiety, frustration, anger and sadness, and offers techniques to work through these negative emotions so that team members are better able to focus, collaborate and innovate.

Hit Reset modules are grounded in cognitive behavioral principles and built for how managers actually work: limited time, expanding responsibilities, and teams that need more support than ever.

By equipping leaders with the right tools, companies can foster healthier teams and stronger cultures of care. To learn more or to bring CARE for Your Team’s Mental Health and Hit Reset to your organization, visit meQuilibrium.
