He entered the industry in its formative days with Patricof & Co. Ventures Inc., a predecessor to Apax Partners who are now one of the world’s leading private equity firms with $41 billion under management. He stepped back from the daily administration and operational aspects of Apax Partners, LP in 2004 to concentrate on a group of small venture deals on its behalf. In 2006, he founded Greycroft Partners, a venture capital firm with offices in New York and Los Angeles.

In his over four-decade-long career in venture capital, Alan has been instrumental in growing the venture capital field from a base of high net-worth individuals to its position today with broad institutional backing and has played a key role in the essential legislative initiatives that have guided its evolution.

Under his leadership, Consulting was the fastest-growing business unit within Deloitte. Outside of Deloitte, Jim serves on several boards and committees including UCLA Anderson School, Optiv, SparkCognition, Kyriba, Bridgepoint LLC, Centre for Neuro Skills.

Adam Miller, Founder of Cornerstone OnDemand: Miller started Cornerstone in 1999 in his one-bedroom apartment to help people realize their potential. In 20 years of him being CEO, Adam grew the company to over 3,000 employees in more than 25 countries and delivered over one billion courses as the world’s premier people development company. Under his leadership, Cornerstone OnDemand became one of the largest talent management systems in the world. Today, Cornerstone OnDemand products are used by more than 7,000 organizations worldwide, empowering more than 75 million people in 192 countries.

Samir Bodas, Founder, Icertis: Samir and his team have established Icertis as the undisputed leader in the $20 billion contract lifecycle management (CLM) category, and in 2019 it became the first CLM company valued at over $1 billion. Prior to co-founding Icertis, Samir has handled multiple leadership roles at Microsoft and served as CEO for two IT service firms: Disha Technology and Aztecsoft, overseeing rapid growth followed by successful exits.

A big thank you to Greycroft

We cannot quite put into words how thankful we are to our investors for showing faith in us and our capabilities.

Ever since graduating from Y-combinator, we’ve been lucky to have the support of some of the best investors in the US and India. Greycroft in particular, who led our latest round, has invested in companies like Braintree, Icertis, App Annie, and Segment prior.

We are particularly excited to welcome Mark Terbeek of Greycroft to our board. Previously, Mark was a partner with MK Capital, a venture fund based in Los Angeles and Chicago.  Mark also co-founded Jamcracker Inc., an early SaaS pioneer where he served as its vice president of corporate development.  He also worked at McKinsey & Co., a management-consulting firm.

Here’s to living up to the investors’ expectations and a lot more growth in the near future!
