HowNow is named a Core Challenger on the 2026 Learning Systems 9-Grid™ for a third consecutive year. Both the 2025 and 2026 reports describe HowNow’s trajectory as ‘Excelling’. Fosway Group defines vendors with an ‘Excelling’ trajectory as those who are increasing their level of innovation and potential to serve enterprise customers effectively and who are raising their level of market performance and customer advocacy.
This year’s report also assesses HowNow’s ‘Lower’ total cost of ownership (TCO) compared with the wider learning systems market as a whole. HowNow has moved from ‘Mid’ in 2024 to a ‘Lower’ TCO rating in 2025 and 2026.
HowNow is headquartered in London and serves customers in more than 30 countries worldwide. The company’s innovative culture and skills-first architecture have fuelled rapid growth, with well-known customer brands including Trainline, HotelPlan, Investec, depop, and TomTom.
In Q4 2025, HowNow rolled out its innovative AI workplace coach, Guru. Guru is an AI agent that can teach, challenge, and adapt to the individual learner’s capabilities and skills gaps, delivering the right verified expert knowledge and expertise, when they need it. Acting as an always-on coach that understands the learner, Guru provides instant feedback and tailored support based on how the learner practises, what they need to improve on, and the business context they work in.
Nelson Sivalingam, Co-Founder and CEO at HowNow, said: “We’re very proud of the innovation we’re delivering for our progressive customers, and we’re committed to supporting the fast and effective upskilling that drives real business impact. Fosway’s independent research reflects the momentum we’re building in the learning systems market, and that’s a fantastic endorsement.”
Fiona Leteney, Senior Analyst at Fosway Group and lead analyst on learning systems, added: “HowNow continues to build relevance in a market where buyers are under pressure to prove impact, control cost and make AI practical. Its Core Challenger position and Excelling trajectory indicate growing momentum. For organisations evaluating learning systems, the key is to align innovation with their own priorities for learner experience, integration, governance and business impact.”
