Massey Henry Adds Yung Wu to Advisory Board

Appointment enhances the firm’s ability to advise boards and CEOs on leadership priorities in innovation, digital strategy, and technology transformation.

Massey Henry, one of Canada’s leading executive search and board advisory firms focused exclusively on the financial services sector, announced today the appointment of Yung Wu to its Advisory Board.

A serial entrepreneur, private equity investor, and experienced corporate director, Mr. Wu brings a track record at the intersection of innovation, technology, and governance, enhancing Massey Henry’s ability to advise boards and CEOs as they navigate the leadership implications of technology-driven industry transformation.

Mr. Wu is a Director of OMERS Administration Corporation and Chair of NFQ Ventures. He previously served as Chair of the Toronto Region Board of Trade and as CEO of MaRS Discovery District, where he helped scale one of the world’s largest innovation hubs.

“Yung brings a rare combination of entrepreneurial drive, executive leadership, and board governance expertise, grounded in a deep conviction in innovation as a driver of social and economic progress,” said Michael Henry, Managing Partner at Massey Henry. “As financial services organizations navigate technology-driven transformation and evolving stakeholder expectations, his perspective will strengthen the counsel we provide to our clients.”

Mr. Wu’s career also reflects a sustained commitment to inclusivity. He is a co-founder of the Coalition of Innovation Leaders Advancing Respect (CILAR), a national network of senior leaders and organizations dedicated to building pathways into the innovation economy for under-recognized leadership talent from under-sponsored communities.

“I am pleased to join Massey Henry at a time when leadership, innovation, and inclusion are increasingly interconnected,” said Yung Wu. “The firm’s focus on developing Canadian leadership and strengthening the institutions that underpin our financial system resonates with me. I look forward to supporting Michael and his team in an advisory capacity as they partner with organizations to build future-ready leadership.”
