Mutual of Omaha Enhances its Employer-Based Critical Illness Plans

Critical Illness

An unexpected critical illness often comes without warning and may have lasting effects on an individual and their family – both physically and financially.

Employer-based critical illness insurance from Mutual of Omaha gives employers an opportunity to help their employees with the extra security they need to lessen the financial impact associated with the treatment and recovery of a critical illness.

Mutual of Omaha has enhanced its employer-based critical illness policies to provide even more coverage. Enhancements include:

  • More than 130 conditions, expanding the number of critical illnesses previously covered
  • Flexible plan designs tailored to meet employers’ needs
  • Existing benefit offerings and benefit names have been realigned to reflect actual diagnoses instead of treatments
  • Definitions have been updated to include broader coverage

“At Mutual of Omaha, we continually work to put our customers first by listening to understand their needs so that we can provide them with the best coverage available,” said Scott Ault, Executive Vice President, Workplace Solutions at Mutual of Omaha. “Critical Illness insurance gives employers a way to provide security for their employees when they experience a difficult diagnosis. We’re excited to make these enhancements so that employers can ease the burden for their employees when they need it most.”
