Stand Together, Western Governors University, and Common Group are pleased to announce the second annual Human Potential Summit, which will take place in Deer Valley, Utah at the Grand Hyatt Resort from November 12-13, 2025. The event will bring together 300 leaders from companies and key stakeholders in the talent ecosystem who will dive into collaborative strategies for strengthening talent systems ranging from turning hiring friction points into opportunities, modernizing talent pipelines to align with evolving hiring needs, using data and AI to guide more informed workforce decisions, and building purpose-driven cultures that boost engagement and retention. The Summit speaker line-up will feature notable innovators from the field who have tested and proven models for talent development.
While industries face growing skills gaps, economic uncertainty, and disruption from AI, innovative talent approaches are necessary for success in the modern economy. To address this, the Summit will feature hands-on workshopping, immersive experiences, and real-world problem solving for CEOs, human resources and business leaders, and partner organizations, including exclusive research previews presented by Gallup and I4CP that apply data and measurable frameworks to what purpose looks like across life and work.
This year’s Human Potential Summit will also serve as the launch for the Human Potential Network, a new, year-round community of business and talent strategy leaders fueled by shared purpose, data-informed insights, and the collective building of scalable models that enhance business performance and human progress. The Network will unite industry leaders around the transformative power of strategies based on human potential through real-time solutions, iterative learning, and an emphasis on transparency and challenges faced. The relationships forged and commitments made at the Human Potential Summit will directly inform the Network’s ongoing efforts throughout the year.
At the close of the Summit and through engagement with the Network, participants will acquire the tools, relationships, and strategies needed to spark talent transformation at scale and unleash human potential to power business and the economy of the future. “There is a movement building fueled by the power of human potential,” said Ryan Stowers, Senior Vice President, Stand Together. “The second edition of the Human Potential Summit will be an exclusive opportunity to drive that momentum forward and generate collaboration among the employers and talent providers shaping the future of work and learning. The businesses that will succeed in tomorrow’s economy recognize that transforming their talent practices to empower their people based on human potential and purpose will give them the strategic advantage. This Summit, and the Human Potential Network that will grow from it, will include cutting-edge companies and thought leaders who are looking to co-create, exchange ideas, and challenge each other. Together, we have an opportunity to shift how our society views talent — from proxies and pedigrees, to potential and purpose.”
“The Human Potential Summit convenes innovators, leaders, and actors from organizations across the learning-and-work ecosystem committed to developing and implementing practices and systems that make opportunity work for everyone,” said Scott Pulsipher, President, Western Governors University. “By challenging conventional approaches and catalyzing collective effort toward new models of learning and work, we believe we can amplify the talent in every individual and build a more equitable and expansive talent economy to power the future.”
“The Human Potential Summit and the Human Potential Network naturally fit with Walmart.org’s mission. They align to how we think about activating an entire ecosystem to foster human talent,” said Patti Constantakis, Director of Opportunity at Walmart.org and Human Potential Summit Advisory Council member. “From an employer point of view, people are our most important asset and we’re looking to understand how we can create ladders of opportunity for our associates. The Summit and Network aim to transform our talent system into one that recognizes an individual’s skills, aptitudes, and unique experiences. The Summit and Network will support companies in fostering an agile, skilled workforce that’s well-positioned to adapt to our changing times and technologies.”
“We are at a turning point in how we approach education and workforce talent strategies. There is broad consensus that the thriving businesses of tomorrow will be those that are nimble and prepared to hire and develop a workforce with skills we cannot yet predict,” said George Vinton, CEO, Common Group. “The Human Potential Summit will support the learning and collaboration needed to create more leaders, and more businesses, with these capabilities.”
