HR Risk Mitigation names Marissa Medford as Director of Research

HR Risk Mitigation, LLC (, a leader in employment related due diligence, today announced the promotion of Marissa Medford to the position of Director of Research. In her new role, Marissa will oversee the company’s research initiatives, driving innovation and further enhancing the quality of HR Risk Mitigation’s screening services.

Marissa brings expertise in pre-employment background checks, corporate due diligence, and fraud investigations to her new role. Drawing on her depth of experience in civil, criminal, regulatory, media, and other records, she will lead with a strategic approach to ensure HR Risk Mitigation continues to deliver best-in-class solutions to its clients.

In her previous role as Assistant Director of Research, Marissa was instrumental in enhancing screening methodologies and the accuracy and efficiency of processes and deliverables. Her promotion to this role reflects her outstanding contributions to the company and her ability to drive meaningful change.

Marissa holds a master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice from The Pennsylvania State University. Additionally, she holds the FCRA certification from the Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA), and a CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) as well as the title of FCLS (Fraud Claim Law Specialist).
