G&A Partners, a leading national professional employer organization (PEO) and human resources outsourcing (HRO) provider, announced that Pat Murphy will assume the role of chief financial officer (CFO), succeeding Jim Mack, who has retired after more than 30 years in the operations and finance space.

For nearly 30 years – including more than two decades in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries – Murphy has focused his leadership efforts on expanding operations, ensuring financial stability, and enhancing the overall mission and success of the organizations in which he has served.

“Pat’s extensive background in finance and strategic leadership will make him an invaluable asset to our team, and he will undoubtedly contribute to our continued success and growth at G&A Partners,” said John W. Allen, president and CEO of G&A Partners. “Our firm continues to expand in new regions with businesses that stand to benefit from G&A’s specialized human resource outsourcing, benefits management, and payroll solutions. With previous experience leading mergers and acquisitions, Pat is an excellent addition to our leadership team, and I’m so pleased to have him on board.”

Murphy started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and then dedicated 17 years to Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, where he held various cross-functional senior leadership positions. Most recently, Murphy served as the chief financial officer at Marathon Health, a national leader in providing advanced primary care and value-based care solutions to employers.

“I am honored and thrilled to join G&A Partners. The organization’s success story is impressive, and I look forward to collaborating with the team to explore avenues for growth and achieve even greater impact,” said Pat Murphy. “I am very impressed with the company’s culture and its commitment to customers and employees. Ultimately, we are a people business, and this priority is essential to our continued success.”

Based out of Indianapolis, Murphy has been dedicated to his community and has served in board leadership positions at organizations such as the Heroes Foundation, the Catholic Youth Organization, Bishop Chatard High School, and the Indiana Sports Corp among others. He currently holds board leadership positions at Junior Achievement of Central Indiana, St. Pius X Catholic School, and the Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene and Marilyn Glick.
