Taking place April 10-11 in San Francisco, Uplift is an immersive two-day experience where business leaders gather to learn from esteemed luminaries, experts, and researchers about the latest insights on unlocking workplace potential to propel performance and prioritize the growth of their people and teams. The immersive summit will feature the exchange of ideas and inspirational conversations delivering unparalleled insights around leadership, talent retention, growth, and performance. The event will also explore the latest trends in AI; research around courageous workforces; the intersection of coaching, purpose, well-being, and performance; and ultimately cultivating transformation at scale.
“The rise of new AI technologies means workforces are experiencing heightened levels of change and uncertainty, requiring them to adapt quickly to a rapid rate of change,” said Alexi Robichaux, CEO & Co-founder of BetterUp. “AI is necessitating new ways to lead and learn at work and leaders transforming their organizations in these ways are unlocking greater purpose and performance, reaping the lion’s share of the benefit AI can offer. Uplift is the perfect setting to share this knowledge and discuss this transformational time for businesses with the world’s brightest minds.”
At Uplift, Kaling will join the stage for a fireside chat with organizational psychologist, author, and chairman of the Center for Purpose and Performance Adam Grant. The two will offer a refreshing perspective on how to lead with levity and creativity. Together, Mindy and Adam will explore the entrepreneurial journey, focusing on what it takes to challenge norms, innovate, and lead in the competitive landscape of film and TV production. The conversation will delve into how Mindy’s courageous leadership style — marked by a strong sense of purpose and a pioneering spirit — has not only propelled her company to new heights but also created more inclusive and diverse narratives in entertainment. The conversation will be live streamed and later featured on Adam’s chart-topping TED podcasts, WorkLife and Re:Thinking.
Brené Brown will also join the stage and speak about her expertise on courageous leadership in today’s world with BetterUp CEO & Co-founder Alexi Robichaux. Brené has transformed our understanding of leadership, empathy, and the strength found in vulnerability through her groundbreaking work. Her books Daring Greatly and Dare to Lead, alongside her Netflix special, The Call to Courage, have established her as a prominent voice on living and leading bravely.
Returning for the second year in a row, Laura Fuentes, Chief Human Resources Officer at Hilton, will share her perspective on cultivating a winning culture. “For others to achieve greatness, leaders need to be all in on their learning, performance, and development,” said Fuentes. “With coaching as such a fundamental part of how we support career growth, our team members have spent thousands of hours working with BetterUp to learn how to lead with curiosity and courage.
