Pacific Life, Selerix Launch Digital ‘Evidence of Insurability’ Integration
SHARE

Pacific Life’s Workforce Benefits business today announced a new Evidence of Insurability (“EOI”) API integration with Selerix, a leading provider of cloud-based benefits administration solutions. This enhanced connection enables employees to complete EOI applications directly within the enrollment process and receive near real-time decisions, with automatic updates via the Selerix portal – delivering a faster, more streamlined experience for all stakeholders.

“Pacific Life’s digital ecosystem reaches new heights with Selerix’s full API integration. This powerful connection allows us to fully utilize the capabilities of our digital advantage. Within minutes, employees can complete their EOI application by answering a brief set of questions without requiring paramedical exams. In more than 95 percent of cases, employees receive swift decisions. This significantly reduces the time and administrative burden associated with traditional EOI processes,” said Gary Godin, senior vice president and co-head, Workforce Benefits, Pacific Life.

Pacific Life is one of only a few employee benefits carriers to integrate with both Selerix’s Enrollment and EOI APIs, helping to streamline and automate the experience.

“We are thrilled to partner with Pacific Life to deliver a seamless, next-generation EOI experience,” said Ruthie Gray, vice president of product at Selerix. “This integration is more than a technical milestone, it’s a shared commitment to modernizing benefits administration and simplifying the process for employees, employers, and brokers alike. Together, we are paving the way for optimized employee benefits.”

Benefits of the EOI Digital Connection:

  • Employees can complete their EOI application quickly and easily during the enrollment experience, without paramedical exams.
  • More than 95 percent of EOI applications receive near-real-time decisions, eliminating wait times and administrative burdens.
  • Decisions are automatically transmitted to the Selerix platform, removing the need for brokers to update status manually.

Pacific Life’s Workforce Benefits business offers dental, vision, group term life with accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D), short-term and long-term disability, accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity insurance.
