WorkBuzz’s Trade Mission to help American Frontline Workers adapt tech

American

U.K-based employee engagement specialist, WorkBuzz, is primed for American expansion after being chosen for the SelectUSA trade mission. WorkBuzz is one of just 15 U.K. scale-ups – and the only HR tech provider – chosen to be part of the delegation.

Starting in Washington DC on 23 June 2024, the five-day trade mission led by the U.K. Government’s Department for Business and Trade (DBT) in partnership with the U.S. Department of Commerce, will enable WorkBuzz to accelerate its U.S. expansion plans, and help more American organizations with frontline workers to overcome their engagement challenges. WorkBuzz’s platform was first launched into America in June 2023.

Intended to boost the growth of U.K. tech companies in the U.S. market, the trade mission incorporates the SelectUSA Investment Summit in Washington DC, together with a Seattle-based program of introductions to dignitaries, investors, buyers, partners and specialist advisers.

“The trade mission will help to fast-track our American growth ambitions”, says Steven Frost, CEO and Founder of WorkBuzz. “Our employee engagement platform is already used by hundreds of HR leaders across the U.K, and the opportunities provided by the trade mission will enable us to quickly make our mark on the U.S. HR tech market. We look forward to helping more and more American HR leaders to improve their frontline worker engagement, retention and productivity.”

With clients that include fast food chain Five Guys, WorkBuzz gives the often-ignored frontline workforce a voice. By enabling them to give feedback to managers easily and anonymously via engagement surveys accessed from their mobile devices and kiosks, workers feel considered and valued with a greater sense of belonging.

Frost adds, “With only 1% of software venture funding aimed at frontline workers, there’s a desperate need for technology that improves the frontline worker’s everyday experience and allows them to be heard. We’re well-positioned to tackle this, and are excited to maximize the opportunities provided by the trade mission to grow our U.S. footprint, and provide more American organizations with the technology and tools to make a difference.”
