Ultra Corporation, doing business as Ultra Consultants, an independent research and enterprise solutions consulting firm serving the manufacturing and distribution industries, today announced it has achieved certification by Great Place to Work® for the sixth year in a row.
The prestigious award is based entirely on what current employees say about their experience working at the company. This year, 90 percent of Ultra employees said it is a great place to work – 31 points higher than the average U.S. company.
Great Place to Work® is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and the leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue, employee retention and increased innovation.
“Great Place to Work Certification isn’t something that comes easily – it takes ongoing dedication to the employee experience,” said Sarah Lewis-Kulin, vice president of global recognition at Great Place to Work. “It’s the only official recognition determined by employees’ real-time reports of their company culture. Earning this designation means that Ultra Consultants is one of the best companies to work for in the country.”
In this year’s survey, Ultra Consultants achieved top scores in responses to the following statements:
- 98% – People here are given a lot of responsibility.
- 98% – When you join the company, you are made to feel welcome.
- 96% – I believe management would lay people off only as a last resort.
- 96% – I am able to take time off from work when I think it’s necessary.
- 96% – When I look at what we accomplish, I feel a sense of pride.
“At Ultra Consultants, we put our people first in recognizing their amazing contributions via their time and talents,” said Scott Hanson, chief marketing officer at Ultra Consultants. “We continually strive to create a workplace environment where people enjoy what they do and feel truly included.”
“When we announced our Great Place to Work results at our company meeting, there was a clear sense of pride and celebration regarding our accomplishments that made Ultra a great place to work,” said Charlie Schloff, chief business officer for Ultra Consultants. “It’s the dedication and hard work of great people who make this possible and who truly drive our success.”
Ultra Consultants has implemented programs to facilitate camaraderie, whether team members are in the office or working remotely. Employees hold weekly engagement forums as part of the company’s Think Tank program. They also are encouraged to participate in virtual happy hours and take part in team charity events.
According to Great Place to Work research, job seekers are 4.5 times more likely to find a great boss at a certified great workplace. Additionally, employees at certified workplaces are 93% more likely to look forward to coming to work, and are twice as likely to be paid fairly, earn a fair share of the company’s profits, and have a fair chance at promotion.
