Outstaffer Tackling Tech Talent Shortage in APAC

Tech

As Australia aims to reach 1.2 million tech workers by 2030, significant challenges remain. Despite recent migration reforms, the Tech Council of Australia reports that 160,000 young Australians need training to enter the tech workforce.

“While Australia punches above its weight in founding local tech companies that are globally successful, only 1% of Australia’s tech workforce has scale-up experience, compared to 17% in Singapore,” states TCA CEO, Kate Pounder.

The global tech skills shortage, intensified by the pandemic and rapid digital transformation, has heightened the need for innovative hiring strategies. Border closures further restricted access to overseas talent, increasing the urgency for effective solutions.
