Lyons HR (www.lyonshr.com), a leading Professional Employer Organization (PEO) with clients in 47 states, has sold its commercial staffing operations to Elwood Staffing Services. Dallas-based Capital Alliance Corporation acted as exclusive advisor to Lyons HR in the transaction.
Since 1995, Lyons HR has provided high-value temporary staffing services throughout central and northern Alabama, but earlier this year Lyons made the decision to focus solely on growing its PEO service offering. “This is a great move for both companies,” said Bill Lyons, founder and CEO of Lyons HR. “We are pleased to pass the reins of our staffing operation to Elwood Staffing. Elwood has a national footprint and will be able to offer our clients and associates greater resources, services and opportunities. This transaction also allows Lyons HR to better align its operations to meet our long-term PEO growth objectives.”
Staffing offices located in Birmingham, Huntsville, Opelika, Florence, Decatur, Tuscaloosa and Montgomery, formerly Lyons HR Staffing offices, will now operate as Elwood Staffing. “The employees are excited about this transition and partnership. We look forward to the cooperative relationship with Elwood, as we expand our PEO services,” Lyons said.
