Dock Health, the only work management platform built for healthcare, today announced its Dock platform has earned certified status by HITRUST for foundational cybersecurity setting a new standard in healthcare collaboration and workflow automation.

HITRUST Essentials, 1-year (e1) Certification demonstrates that Dock’s work management and automation platform is focused on the most critical controls to demonstrate that essential cybersecurity hygiene is in place. The e1 assessment is one of three progressive HITRUST assessments that leverage the HITRUST Framework (HITRUST CSF) to prescribe cyber threat adaptive controls that are appropriate for each assurance type.

“In healthcare, there’s no variable more important to patient privacy than security, and it’s imperative to Dock Health’s users that we provide secure experiences that keep pace with current and emerging threats,” said Michael Docktor, M.D., CEO and co-founder, Dock Health. “We are pleased to demonstrate to every customer, and the patients and communities they serve, our commitment to cybersecurity and data protection through HITRUST e1 Certification.”

Dock Health delivers a comprehensive workforce management solution to optimize workflows, enhance employee engagement and resilience, improve efficiency, and mitigate the impacts of staffing shortages.

“Healthcare teams need trustworthy, connected systems that deliver the ability to collaborate in real-time,” said Nitin Gujral, CTO and co-founder, Dock Health. “Our customers trust us to securely capture and oftentimes automate the important operational and administrative work that is the underpinning of clinical care delivery.”

As the foundation for operationalizing value-based care, Dock provides comprehensive, patient-centered experiences for healthcare teams and providers that support both measurable health outcomes and fee-for-service models.

“The e1 provides the right level of information security assurance for organizations that pose low levels of risk,” said Jeremy Huval, Chief Innovation Officer at HITRUST. “The e1 also provides an excellent starting point for organizations wanting to mature their risk management, privacy, and compliance programs and establish a strong foundation to progress to higher levels of assurance.”

With patients ultimately becoming a part of their own care team and personalization a large part of improving outcomes, systems need to allow tasks and information to securely start, flow and end where they need to. Dock provides an unparalleled level of security to healthcare organizations looking to drive efficiency, operational excellence and sustainability for generations to come.

“The HITRUST e1 Validated Assessment is a good tool for cyber-aware organizations like Dock Health that want to build assurances and progressively demonstrate due diligence around information security and privacy,” said Robert Booker, Chief Strategy Officer at HITRUST. “We applaud Dock Health for their commitment to cybersecurity and successful completion of their HITRUST e1 Certification.”
