Boyden Appoints Russ Silvestri as Managing Partner in California

Boyden, a premier leadership and talent advisory firm with more than 65 offices in over 40 countries, today announced that investment professional and Olympian Russ Silvestri has joined the firm as a Managing Partner in California hrtech news.

Silvestri joins Boyden with a distinguished career of more than 30 years in investment banking and public and private investing. He has grown equity sales teams, spearheaded capital raising and investment efforts to institutional and individual investors, and developed relationships across a broad spectrum of companies and management teams.

Prior to joining Boyden, Silvestri was the Founder and Portfolio Manager of SKIRITAI Capital. In this role, he actively engaged with management across all industries, public and private. His background makes him uniquely fit to support clients facing the challenges explored in a groundbreaking report on private equity in the industrial sector, released by Boyden in November.

Earlier in his career Silvestri was named the second youngest-ever Managing Director at investment bank Robertson Stephens, where for a decade he led and expanded the venture and corporate services team from a five- to 50-person team. He played a lead role in developing strategies for share repurchases and hedging strategies for both corporate and venture clients. Silvestri was also responsible for hiring more than 50 investment professionals, from entry-level analysts to senior bankers.

Silvestri represented the United States at the 2000 Olympic Games in the singlehanded Finn Class, competed in four Olympic Trials, and received the 2000 United States Olympic Committee’s award for Outstanding Male Athlete in Sailing. He also competed in the America’s Cup in 1987 and 2000. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.
